The Alternative Investment Option (AIO) gives investors the opportunity to invest in potential projects can either be listed by the government or suggested by private individuals with financing capabilities. These projects aim to maximize the employment of locals, but also include the transfer of technology and capacity building. After being accomplished and operational for a certain period which also allows for a return on investment, projects must be turned over to the Government.
The Alternative Investment Option (AIO) will be in two categories:
• Public Good Project Developer (PGPD) – projects that are fully funded by the PGPD with a minimum unit of investment of US $175,000. At the end of the agreement, the State retains the ownership of the asset.
• Private Enterprise Developer (PED) – applies to built or funded assets that are privately owned with a minimum unit of investment of US $200,000.

Once you have agreed on the quotation, we examine and validate all the required documents. Ensuring that the client would not waste time and money before knowing for certain that their application is eligible.
We then translate and notarise all required documents, and fill in all government forms. Ensuring that they are fully compliant with government requirements and regulations. Then, we prepare a full file for a final submission.
At this stage, all the pre-screened documents are sent to the various government agencies for processing. During this time, we follow-up closely with our agencies in Dominica to ensure a timely and speedy process. We keep in touch with our clients for any further goverments clarifications and update the customer on the status.
Once the initial approval is secured, a request for funds will be made by the government. When the funds are cleared, we will apply for final citizenship certificate and passport documentations.

The total cost consists of the investment, and other fees related to processing the application. These fees will depend on your choice of citizenship, either through the contribution to the Sugar Industry Diversification Fund (SIDF) or the real estate investment option. This will also depend on the number of individuals applying. The individual applicants and their additional family members will naturally increase the investment structure.
No. Only a licensed authorised agent (Karibi) can act on your behalf and handle your citizenship application for you.
The Citizenship by Investment Unit will notify Karibi once it accepts your application for processing. In order for the unit to accept the processing of your application, your application must fully comply with the legislation and guidelines published by the Citizenship by Investment Board.
It will take approximately three months for your application to be processed from the date you notify your agent that your request has been accepted for processing. If extenuating circumstances occur that would delay the processing of your request, the unit will notify us directly.
